Daedric Dagger

Here it is all painted, the Daedric Dagger. I thought that instead of using my normal background, which is just my bedsheet, this time I'd make it more interesting. I remember when I first started prop making, one of the first projects I'd ever attempted was the Daedric Dagger. Due to a lack of skill considering how new I was to the craft coupled with my lack of proper tools, it was hardly surprising when I wasn't able to finish it. It's been about two years now but I finally have one.

Total work time, including painting, was about four days. It's made out of MDF board and is carved with a knife and various chisels and gouges. The total length is about 21" or 53cm. It was painted using both spray and acrylic paints and the rope on the handle was just a scrap piece I found outside.
